Charity Fishing Match Donation

KEITH Lamming from East Coast Tackle in Hornsea has presented a cheque at Castle Hill Hospital for money raised at a charity fishing match.

In memory of ‘Big Pete’

‘Big Pete’s’ memorial fishing match in memory of Pete Barker who Keith described as: “like an adopted dad to me” was held on March 20.  Pete was one of Keith’s most well-known customers seen most days in the shop chatting to other fishermen.  Keith promised Pete he would hold a fishing match every year in his memory in aid of local charities.  This year was the fifth annual match and it raised over £1200.  The first cheque has been presented by Keith to the Teenage Cancer Unit at Castle Hill.  Keith added: “I met some lovely staff and presented them with a cheque for £654 for patient care, which means they can buy things the children on the ward need. Hoping it helps make poorly children’s stay in hospital a little more comfortable.  Thank you to everyone who fished, donated or helped in any way.”
