Double Crash at Silverstone

EVERQUIP and Catfoss Racing had a difficult Round One of the British Superbikes at Silverstone on Easter weekend.

Crash at 152mph

Bjorn Estment crashed at Maggots corner at 152mph in Saturday’s qualifying, luckily escaping with just a cut finger.

Brent hospitalised

Then in a double whammy of bad luck Everquip Racing’s new rider, Brent Harran, crashed at the start of the race on the Sunday hitting a stalled bike on the grid.  Brent was taken to the medical centre and has suffered severe concussion, a broken wrist and ankle.

The crashes have also left both bikes severely damaged which will keep the team busy over the next few weeks.
