Hornsea Sailing Club Seeks Support with Funding Bid for Accessible Jetty

Hornsea Sailing Club is looking to develop its offer and encourage more people from a wider range of backgrounds to take to the waters of Hornsea Mere. Chris Clark, the club’s marketing and promotions coordinator, is seeking help with preparing funding bids to support this project. The club hopes to install a floating jetty so that people with limited mobility, including wheelchair users and older people, can take part in sailing. The plan is linked to other exciting developments at the Mere. The club aims to increase membership and upgrade its facilities. Hornsea Sailing Club is planning on building a new clubhouse, hopefully starting in late 2018. All the people working on the committee for Hornsea Sailing Club are volunteers and support from someone with expertise in this area would be very welcome.
