TV cameras were at Hornsea Indoor Bowls Club on Sunday 12th March to video one of the sport’s newest formats – a Bonanza Bowls Tournament. Different coloured bowls are used – red, yellow, blue and black, with each colour scoring a different value. This successful event attracted 48 of the region’s top Bowls players including two former National Singles Champions, Mark Walton and David Boult, English Internationals and a two time Hong Kong champion – but they were eliminated in the qualifying rounds. The competition was keenly contested by players from throughout the north of England and watched by a full house of spectators. Their success earned them a cheque for £200. which was presented  by Club manager Chris Swindon. Special thanks go to Specialist Home Developments Ltd.
