FRESH!!!

“Delicious!” “A wonderful Evening” “This is just what Hornsea needs!” “I feel as though I’ve just witnessed something special” These were some of the comments from delighted diners at Hornsea’s first ever Pop up Organic Vegetarian restaurant at the Floral Cafe on Tuesday 31st May. The sixty people who attended left with full, contented stomachs and in high spirits, aided by the selection of organic wines on offer. Delicious food and first class service provided by guest chefs, Katy and Jeff Wheelwright and their team, together with live music from Nick and Helen Stubbs contributed to a special evening. Tickets for the event had sold out within three days so the organisers, Home Grown Hornsea, were encouraged to pop up again the following month (Friday June 24th) and the evening proved equally popular with the reputation of our chefs attracting people from as far afield as Pocklington and Easington. The project is not for profit and aims to give people in this area the opportunity to sample quality cuisine using ingredients grown locally, with our health and the environment as a top priority. (Tickets cost £20 for a three course organic, vegetarian meal). Our chefs are busy catering for Yoga retreats over the summer so the next Pop up will be in September. Watch this space!
