Major Boost for Hornsea Sports teams

Hornsea School & Language College has a new state-of-the-art third generation football pitch, which provides an excellent venue for local sports team, for training and match days. The 3G pitch is available for use by schools, colleges and members of the community. The benefits of playing on a synthetic grass surface are that the pitches can be used intensively and can even hold a number of matches on the same day, without becoming waterlogged or unplayable. Hornsea Town is looking forward with great excitement to preparing for a new season there rather than having to travel to Bishop Burton to train. Manager Geoff Whitehead thinks that the pitch could signal a major turning point for sport in Hornsea after so many years of struggling with inadequate facilities.
