Following our successful WWW event in 2016, Let’s Go Hornsea will be holding a similar event this year – renamed HOT. The event will be held in the Floral Hall on Sunday 9th April 10.30 am to 3.30 pm with set up from 9.00 am.
The invitation to take part is open to any local organisation, charity or group and is primarily an opportunity to let the public know who you are and what you do and to attract volunteers etc. It is also the perfect opportunity to meet with other groups and find ways where you may wish to join forces to work together or exchange ideas, particularly with any events in Hornsea linked to Hull City of Culture 2017.
The event should not be used as a fund-raising exercise. It is acceptable to have a discreet collecting box/bucket available or sell small items/souvenirs, but the event is basically for networking and information – so no overt fundraising please.
The event will once again be free for all – organisations and the public. The hire of the hall this year will be sponsored by the Hey Smile Foundation, for which we are very grateful. However, to assist with costs we would appreciate receiving a small donation on the door and every group or organisation that donates will be entered into a draw at the end of the afternoon with the winner receiving half of the money collected: the remainder will go to LGH.
